Find a Church

One of the most important things you can do as a Christian is to become involved in a local church.

It’s common these days to hear people say things like, “My faith is private” or “I worship in my own way.” Because of this way of thinking, many people seem to think they can live a robust Christian life observing the rest of the Christian world from the sidelines.

We are here to plead with you that this is the wrong approach.

A good, solid, Bible-preaching Christian church can expose you to two things you could never experience as a Christian rogue. The first is discipleship; the second is fellowship. Both of these things are critical to your spiritual development.

For this reason, Iron Outreach firmly believes that every Christian should belong to a local church. While great churches come in many shapes and sizes, here are some of the things we suggest you look for:

  • Weekly preaching of God’s word.

  • A senior pastor with a high regard for scripture.

  • An active, involved, and learned elder board.

  • A vibrant small group scene.

While it would be difficult for our small organization to scour the US finding every church that meets these criteria, we are happy to use our little corner of the internet to share what some other groups have found. So please find below a few of the helpful church-finding resources we have come across (and please note: we know there are many other great churches out there, so this list is by no means exhaustive):
