About Our Ministry

Iron Outreach was formalized in 2023.

That’s a fancy way of saying that was when we did the paperwork.

But for all intents and purposes, the seeds of our ministry were planted years before that when our founder, Jonathan D. Morris, read a book on evangelism, felt inspired, and started handing out tracts on a business trip to Raleigh.

He quickly realized this work wasn’t just rewarding; it was also a lot of fun. So he began to invite friends and family to share in the joy of serving the Lord with him.

As more and more people joined in, he began to notice that every time someone new came along, he needed to train them. This led to an evangelism class that he held in his home… which led to a larger class that he conducted in a church.

It was here where the mission of Iron Outreach was forged: to preach the gospel; and to teach other people how to do the same.

To fulfill goal number one, we hit the streets and engage the public with a message of repentance and belief in Jesus. We employ a few different strategies for this, including tract ministry, open air preaching, and one-on-one conversations. We’re based in the Philly area, so a lot of our work takes place there – but it’s not unusual to see us sharing the gospel in places like Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

To fulfill goal number two, we train people how to fulfill goal number one themselves. Scripture is clear that Christians are supposed to share the gospel, but many Christians don’t – either out of fear, or not knowing where to start. Our evangelism training seminars are designed to inspire, empower, and equip Christians for this work. If you run a church or other Christian group or organization, please reach out to us. Finally, we would be remiss if we did not state what it is we believe. We hold to the fact that all human beings everywhere are sinners; that the penalty for sin is eternal damnation; and that repentance and belief in Jesus are the only path to salvation. 

We know hell sounds icky, and we know it’s more popular and comfortable these days to say all religions contain a little truth. But we believe firmly in the divine inspiration of scripture, which tells us that hell is real and that Jesus is the only path away from there.
