How many of those people are dying in their sin?
What are Christians doing to reach them before death shows up at their door?
And if Christians won't warn them of the reality of hell, who, exactly, will?
At Iron Outreach, we have two very simple, God-minded goals:
#1: To hit the streets and reach the lost -- just like Jesus and his disciples did -- through a combination of open air preaching, tract ministry, and one-on-one conversations. We call this "street evangelism." Jesus did not tell us to wait on our couches or behind our keyboards for fish to swim up to us; he told us to go out and fish for people.
#2: To teach other people how to fulfill the first goal themselves. Some Christians just need to be inspired to evangelize; some are already inspired, but need to be equipped. We come to churches and hold evangelism training seminars, teaching everyone the biblical foundation for why we evangelize and practical methods for how to do it. Afterwards, we partner directly with those churches to help them build their own in-house evangelism teams.
We know it's a sick and dying world. But nowhere in the Bible can we find Christians being told to shrink back and let the world continue in darkness. No, by contrast, we are told to go forth and be the salt and the light.
We believe if more Christians could be trained on how to go out and do this, our country -- and our world -- would be a much different place.
